Text Box: Safe Routes to School (SRTS), is a community-based       initiative where the community works together to create a Safe Routes to School  Improvement Plan.  

The Safe Routes to School program promotes walking and biking to school.  It addresses safety concerns of parents by educating the public, fostering communication with codes and traffic personnel, utilizing engineering and encouragement strategies, and exploring ways to make streets safer for all pedestrians and bicyclists all year long.

The five components of the SRTS improvement plan include:
			¨Engineering
			¨Education
			¨Encouragement
			¨Enforcement
			¨Evaluation

The Mansfield Safe Routes to School Task Force is        dedicated to working with the community to help make our neighborhoods to be stronger, safer, and healthier.
