Codes for Neighborhood Improvements

The City of Mansfield has certain city codes (laws) that can help citizens make and keep their neighborhood safe, clean, and a better place to live. If you experience a problem with any of the following, contact the City of Mansfield:

  • Broken or discarded furniture.
  • Household appliances, boxes, or other debris.
  • Garbage which is not properly disposed of .
  • Trash containers stored in front of the house on days other than those designated for pickup.
  • Accumulation of asphalt, concrete, crates, rocks, brick, or dirt. Building materials,machines, or their parts.
  • Accumulated tree trimmings or brush.
  • Building and/or alterations of a structure without a displayed permit.
  • Home occupations beyond the limits of the definition.
  • Illegal or unsafe signs.
  • Open burning within the city limits.
  • Dilapidated, vacant, or unsafe structures.
  • Kennel (more than three domesticated animals), livestock, or poultry in a residential area.
  • Littering, illegal dumping or dump sites.
  • Unsanitary, unsafe, or dangerous conditions within a surrounding or a dwelling.
  • Zoning violations or illegal uses in restricted areas.
  • Abandoned vehicles.
