4th Ward - Butch (Walden) Jefferson

Councilman Butch Jefferson is the City's newly elected Councilman. He is 49 years old and resides at 601 Bowman Street. He graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1967. He has been married to the former Joyce Dockery for 19 years. He served in Vietnam from July 1969 to July of 1970, and also served in Desert Storm in 1991. Butch is still active in the Ohio National Guard. Butch has been employed with Armco Steel since 1983. Butch is the Chairperson of the City Council Claims Committee. He is also a member of the Rules and Safety Committees.

Butch is active as a board member of the Metro Credit Union as well as the Local 169 Union. He also served as past president of the John's Park Ford Hill Athletic Association.
