Dr. Hightower is the founder of the Greatest Love Ministries - An outreach ministry. Ministering to the needs of people in the Inter-City. Provide school supplies annually to children from K to 12th grade. She also is an Associate Chaplain Med Central Mansfield Hospital. One of several volunteers on call 24 hours daily for pastoral care, for patients or family members.

Her Civic involvement includes Member of Mansfield City Planning Commission. Past Board member of American Cancer Society, “Y” Nominating committee, Friendly House, Mansfield Fair Housing, Human Relations Committee, Richland Alternate Program through Municipal Court and Member of T.R.A.P. a program for youth. Also, served on several other committee and boards.

She is currently working as a Facilitator for “Ohio Violence Prevention Process” Part of a team that conducts several workshops through-out the State of Ohio for O.D.A.A.S. (Ohio Drug and Alcohol Service).
