Overview
The City of Mansfield's
Information Technology Division is an Inter-Service department which provides I. T. related support to the other departments within the City. The I. T. Division personnel are responsible for maintaining and enhancing the City's workstations (PC), network infrastructure (LAN/WAN), systems security, and Mainframe applications.
Currently, the I.T. Division maintains over 200 personal computers running on a Windows Network. The City also owns an IBM iSeries mainframe server that runs Finance Division, Human Resource Division, Utility Collection Division, Income Tax Division, and Public Safety (CAD/RMS) software applications. In addition the I. T. Division coordinates software training classes on behalf of City Employees for new and legacy applications.
