The Mansfield Litter Prevention and Recycling
Program (M.L.P.&.R.), is a public education and awareness program dedicated to
providing waste reduction, recycling and litter prevention strategies that impact the
citizens of our community. The Mansfield Litter Prevention & Recycling Program
educates the local community on the 3 R's of Recycling: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. It also
stresses the importance of buying recycled, thereby "closing the loop." Mansfield Litter Prevention
& Recycling is funded in part through a grant from the Ohio Department of Natural
Resources, Division of Recycling & Litter Prevention.
Information on
Awareness, Education and Litter Prevention is offered throughout the year and is available
to all members of the community. The staff of M.L.P.&R. strive to provide programs
that raise the environmental consciousness and stewardship of the citizens of our
community. Government, business, schools, civic groups, neighborhood associations,
and individuals are all included in the public education opportunities that Mansfield
Litter Prevention & Recycling provides.
