Annual Essay Contest

The Mansfield Litter Prevention & Recycling Program is pleased to announce the 2003 "Stepping Forward Together" Essay Contest. The essay contest is open to all Mansfield/Richland County public and private school students in grades 9-12.

The theme of this years contest is "Take Pride, Mansfield" or "For Our Future". The student must write the essay utilizing one of three messages, 1. Litter prevention, 2. Recycling or 3. Buy recycled.

Prizes are awarded for first, second, and third place. First Place receives a $50 U.S. Savings Bond (at maturity). Second place receives a $20 gift certificate to a local bookstore. Third place receives a $10 gift certificate to a local bookstore.
