Adopt-A-Street:
Make a difference in Mansfield!
The Adopt-a-Street
Program is based on the Adopt-a-Highway Program (sponsored by the State of Ohio) and
enables service groups, churches, businesses, and community members to adopt-a-street in
the City of Mansfield. The office staff provides training, vests, collection bags and
disposal of the litter collected. Each group that adopts an area will have a sign with the
group name posted at one of the intersections. For more information on how you can
Adopt-A-Street call 755-9699, or e-mail
us with your inquiry.
Neighborhood
Clean-ups
Our office works with
local neighborhood organizations in providing neighborhood clean-ups. We produce flyers
for distribution throughout your neighborhood, provide collection bags, and will dispose
of the litter collected.
Litter Collection
Seasonal litter crews
are responsible for keeping and maintaining entry ways into our city litter free during
the months of April - October. If you spot litter in the right of way, contact our office
and our crew will be there to assist you.
Graffiti Program
Our office coordinates
a graffiti program with the assistance of the Mansfield Division of Police and concerned
citizens. Complaints of graffiti are reported to the office, and we remove the graffiti
from the site as quickly as weather permits. If you spot graffiti, call 755-9699 or e-mail us and let us know the location.
The Mansfield Litter
Prevention & Recycling Program is committed to meeting the needs and requests of the
citizens of our community. For information on how you can become involved, or how we can
assist you, call 755-9699, or e-mail us with
your comments.
