Litter Control
Take Pride, Ohio! /
Take Pride, Mansfield!
The Ohio Department of
Natural Resources, Division of Recycling and Litter Prevention selected six communities in
Ohio as "pilot" programs. The Objective is to "pilot" litter
prevention awareness and education strategies to bring about community revitalization,
raise the level of community pride and establish sustainable litter prevention programs.
In 2001, the
Mansfield Litter Prevention and Recycling Program was chosen as one of the six pilot
communities to design the new Statewide Litter Prevention Program and has received $10,000
to assist in the development of the program. As a pilot community, we have given the
responsibility to plan and implement a pilot litter prevention program. The program
carries the logo and slogan of the Division of Recycling & Litter Prevention's
newly created program Take Pride, Ohio!
The City of Mansfield,
businesses, leaders and residents already exemplify the Take Pride, Ohio!
Program. This is demonstrated by the continued commitment we have had for programs in the
past.
