America Recycles Day

The Mansfield Litter Prevention & Recycling Program proudly joins in a Statewide and National Campaign each fall – America Recycles Day.

The goal of the national campaign is to promote the social, environmental and economic benefits of recycling and buying recycled, as well as to increase the purchase of recycled content products and recycling collection activities throughout America.

Each year on November 15, thousands of Americans including those in U.S. territories take part in “buy recycled” activities to commemorate America Recycles Day.

Locally, the Mansfield Litter Prevention  & Recycling Program offers schools, institutions, businesses, government agencies and individuals the opportunity to celebrate America Recycles Day.

Fact sheets are available on how you can participate in this campaign, pledge cards, which allow those making their pledge to recycle and buy recycled, the opportunity to win prizes, and each year a “buy recycled shopping spree,” is held.  The shopping spree is a fun and educational activity to educate consumers on how to “buy recycled.”.

For more information on how you can be a part of the local campaign, contact Mansfield Litter Prevention & Recycling.  You can also tour the National Website at www.americarecyclesday.org.
