Special Projects

  • Ocie Hill Neighborhood Center - Built steps, installed catch basin, built wall, poured concrete; hauled furniture and computer equipment and installed steps
  • Street Department - Hauled Christmas trees.
  • Waste Water Treatment Plant - Uncovered grease line, installed Manhole (digester to the lugger), poured driveway and repaired floor.
  • Water Treatment Plant - Installed storm line and replaced ring and lid.
  • Richland County Fairgrounds - Hauled chairs.
  • Fire Station - Brookwood Way - Poured concrete pads and steps.
  • Water Repair  - Enclosed a window for Meter Room and repaired 33 lateral/storm line/sanitary lines.
  • Engineering - Used labor for popping manhole lids.
  • City Building - Tore out concrete pad, poured 10 yards of concrete.
  • Updated the computer system.
  • 480 Park Avenue East - Installed two catch basins, 280' of 15" pipe, 1500' of 6" pipe and put in eight down spouts.

In the year 2000, the Sewer Repair Department accomplished the following tasks:

  • Repaired 60 catch basins.
  • Installed 7 manholes.
  • Installed 31 storm lines.
  • Raised 25 manholes.
  • Repaired 51 storm lines.
  • Installed 37 catch basins.
  • Repaired 10 manholes.
  • Repaired 27 sanitary lines.
  • Raised 8 catch basins.
  • Completed 7 ditching jobs.
  • Cleaned 35 manholes.
