City of Mansfield Requirements
The City of Mansfield requires that all new construction comply with the following
chapters of the City Ordinances:
Chapter 1361: Stormwater Management
Chapter 1362: Stormwater Erosion and Sediment Control
Per chapter 1361.05:
“Any person performing any nonfarm earth- disturbing activity that disturbs 20,000
square feet or more shall be required to file a storm water management plan and obtain a
storm water management permit.”
“Any person performing any nonfarm, earth- disturbing activity that disturbs less
than 20,000 square feet is required to obtain a storm water management permit, but is not
required to submit a storm water management plan. However, all non-farm, earth-disturbing
activities are required to comply with all other criteria as outlined in this text and the
bureau of buildings, Inspections, Licenses and Permits should be contacted to see what
type of controls are necessary to comply with this chapter.
