City of Mansfield Utility Collections Meter Repair Meter Repair Handles anything to do with water/sewer meters, from reading monthly to repair and/or replacement of meters. Meter readers, read the the water and sewer meters monthly. From these readings, the water and sewer bills are generated. Because the meters are read monthly, the City is able to detect any sudden increase or decrease in usage and notify the customer of any problems. Meter repair, repairs and replaces meters, answers calls for "no water", shut-off and turns on delinquent accounts, and checks for any tampering with meters and/or theft of service. Together, the readers and the meter repairmen work directly with the Utility Collections Department to provide the Citizens of Mansfield with efficient, courteous service.
