Waste Water Treatment Plant The Maintenance Department Responsibility for the proper operation and care of the equipment at the Mansfield Wastewater Treatment Plant falls on the Maintenance Department. A five-man team does the preventive maintenance and repairs at the main plant and fourteen remote sites to assure proper plant operation is achieved. The duties vary from day to day and range from simple preventive maintenance to troubleshooting and repairing any type problem with the equipment. This includes everything from installing or repairing electric motors and pumps to the computer systems and Programmable Logic Controllers.
