Mansfield has much to offer and I am proud to be Mayor as we prepare to progress further into the 21st Century. Maintaining excellence in all we do for our city is a continuous process and we have always been recognized for our efforts on a national, state, and local level. We are setting and achieving a standard of service our citizens expect and deserve. We have skilled people who are well trained and who have a dedication to their work and service to the public. The City of Mansfield is fortunate to have an excellent group of employees and elected officials who do extraordinary things every day to keep our city operating at high levels. Mansfield is a wonderful place to live. It is ranked 5th among "Best Places To Raise a Family" and our housing stock is the 7th most affordable in the United States. The greatest asset Mansfield has is its people. We have lived through many social, cultural and political changes over the years and come through it all as one of America's most livable cities, an award we were proud to receive from the U.S. Conference of Mayors. Many new homes are being built revitalizing our neighborhoods. Property values are rising, new businesses are bringing in new jobs, a new state of the art senior high school is completed, the quality of life and the quality of opportunities are rising. People are returning back to their hometown. We are better and stronger and as you travel through our web site, you will see many of the improvements we have made in our city in the last few years. Mansfield will continue to focus on jobs, community empowerment and industrial investment that will produce a stable economy, future employment growth and a safer community.
